Members of the Pocklington School Athletics teamOn Tuesday 5 June, athletes from the Middle School at Pocklington School gave a fantastic performance at the English Schools’ Athletics Team Competition Regional B final held at Costello stadium, Hull.

The Inter Boys’ team performed brilliantly, to win the Regional B final by a fantastic 32 points. They had previously qualified for the second round of the English Schools’ team competition by winning the Humberside competition so this is a great term's achievement for the boys. The team performed very well, with the majority of athletes recording better performances than the previous round which saw them beat schools from across the North East of England.

Mr Spruyt, teacher i/c athletics said: I am delighted with the achievement of the team, especially as a number of the boys were competing a year young, which highlights their determination and effort. This is also a busy term for the students as they endeavour to balance school work and extracurricular commitments, so they should be commended on this success.
