Photo: OPs gather at the Newcastle Drinks 2018

This year’s OP Newcastle drinks event was held on Thursday 1 February 2018 at the Northern Counties Club. The move to a drinks format rather than a dinner proved popular last year and with the move to the new venue this year, numbers were even higher with 35 OPs and guests in attendance.

As well as the usual gathering of student OPs, there were a few more older OPs attending this year which was pleasing to see. OP President, Trevor Loten (70-80), welcomed everyone and gave his thanks for coming as well as thanking Club member Nick Lumley (80-87) for arranging the venue for us even though he was not able to make it for a drink himself.

The next OP drinks event will be in Leeds on Wednesday 21 March from 7.30pm to 9.30pm following the Pocklington School Careers and Business Networking event at 6.00pm to 7.30pm.
