The first ‘President’s Round’ Leeds drinks event was held at the Lazy Lounge Bar on Wednesday 21 March 2018. The event followed on from the Pocklington School Foundation (PSF) Careers and Business Network event on family businesses held at the Schofield Sweeney offices with guest speaker, Christopher Oughtred (William Jackson Food Group).

At the drinks do, 22 OPs, guests and Pocklington School staff joined OP President, Trevor Loten (70-80), on the mezzanine at Lazy Lounge in the heart of the Leeds financial district at West Point. The informal format worked really well and was ideal for catching up with OPs from across the generations. Those attending spanned 61 years from ’54 leaver, David Wood (47-54), through to 2015 leaver, Will Sayer (08-15).

Trevor commented: “We’ve had two really excellent events this evening and it is so pleasing to see OPs of all ages here. I loved catching up with the OPs I taught or knew at school when I was a pupil, but I’ve also enjoyed getting to know some new faces too.”

The next PSF Careers and Business Network event (6.30pm) and ‘President’s Round’ OP Drinks (8.00pm) will be on Thursday 26 April 2018 at the University Women’s Club in Mayfair, London.
