Last week saw the release of Physics teacher, Mr Hutchings’ latest Science-Philosophy-Religion blockbuster: God, Stephen Hawking and the Multiverse. It uses Hawking’s work on the past, present, and future of our Universe (or maybe even Universes) to discuss what the famous cosmologist referred to as the ‘Big Questions’: Where did we come from? Why are we here? Is there a God?

The book has already gone down well with the experts – Dr Althea Wilkinson of Jodrell Bank Observatory said ‘If you wanted to understand Stephen Hawking but couldn't face the maths, this is the book for you’, whilst philosopher of time William Lane Craig has called it ‘An astonishingly good read, gripping and thought-provoking’.

God, Stephen Hawking and the Multiverse is co-authored by Professor David Wilkinson of Durham University, and the illustrations are by none other than Pocklington School’s very own Magnus Swann (Upper Sixth Former). It is available on Amazon and at most bookshops.
