Pupils raised £3,189 for their four chosen charities in a Week full of laughter, snow, rain, wind and sunshine.

The annual event is packed with fundraising activities organised by the pupils themselves, from table top games to a tug of war, giant musical chairs, tombolas, a cake stall, non-uniform day, car washing, a staff vs pupils football match and quizzes.

Sixth Formers dressed as superheroes hired themselves out as butlers for the day, another subjected himself to a sponsored silence – and a popular highlight was when pupils paid for the pleasure of dumping bucketsful of gunge over staff volunteers.

Charity Week was organised by the school Sixth Form Charity Committee and supervised by Head of ICT and Computing and Sixth Form Housemistress, Helen Alexander. This year the total was shared by the following chosen charities: Water Aid; Andrew’s Hedgehog Hospital; St Leonard’s Hospice and the Stroke Association.
