An OP musician is chasing a top prize of £50,000 after entering one of his videos into a national competition.

Fin Henderson (07-14), 21, recently entered the top 100 of the Salute Music Makers challenge with his song and video, entitled ‘A Million Places’. The track has shot up into top 10 contention and now has a chance of claiming a top six slot.

This would earn him a prize of £10,000, but he is now eyeing the number one position, which comes with a £50,000 prize.

With only 16 votes separating the top 10 artists, Fin now needs as many votes as possible to give him a chance of winning the top prize. He is hoping people in the Pocklington area, as well as OPs, pupils, and current and former parents from the Pocklington School community will get behind him and vote.

Fin said: “It would be great to take first place, and obviously the super exciting prize, which would make a massive difference to a musician like me.”

Voting closes on 27 October 2017, so there is still chance to check out his new video and vote for him. Anyone who would like to support Fin can visit his Facebook link at http://www.facebook.com/salutemusicuk/ or https://tinyurl.com/finhendersonvideo
