Eight Pocklington School Lower Sixth students studying BTEC Enterprise and Entrepreneurship recently participated in the Young Enterprise Regional Finals held at the University of Hull.

The Pocklington team named Love Reclaimed, a pre-loved clothing business, was evaluated on sustainability, innovation and customer service. Through a series of interviews, financial assessments and scenario planning, the team proved their excellence and culminated their efforts with a challenging presentation before an audience of industry experts and Young Enterprise Officials.

Young Enterprise is a national charity that specialises in enterprise education and financial education. Young Enterprise works directly with young people, teachers, volunteers and influencers to build a successful and sustainable future for all young people by empowering young people to discover, develop, and celebrate their skills and potential.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the team’s outstanding achievement of winning the Best Presentation award, as well as being crowned the winners of North and South Humber 2024.

Mrs Ceri Himsworth, teacher of business at Pocklington School, commented: “Throughout this process, the students have honed their business skills and conquered their fear of public speaking. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and the progress they have made.”

We extend our best wishes to Love Reclaimed as they gear up for the Northern Finals to be held in the Guildhall, Hull in just two weeks’ time… good luck!
